Christmas Party Outfits
You can shine bright and pretty with some smart party outfits. Go ahead, rock the Christmas party!
You’ve just been told that there’s a Christmas party at work. Apart from this one, you have been invited to about three other Christmas parties. The question is: what are you going to wear to four parties without repeating your outfits?
It’s not that difficult to put your look together, really. You can easily wear the same outfits, or just get variations of one look. Just get creative and clever not just with your clothes, but also with your accessories. Here’s what you can do:
– Pick an LBD. An LBD (Little Black Dress) is a must in every woman’s wardrobe. Plus, it looks great, whatever the occasion. For a fun party with family and friends, you can pair your dress with leggings in red or white, and wear sturdy black boots. For a party at the office, use the same dress but pair it with sexy sandals or stilettos in silver or red. Ditch the leggings. Wear hot red lipstick and a simple silver necklace and a watch.
– The long black dress. You can never go wrong with black. It suits every colour and body type, and looks great in any length of dress. Instead of an LBD, wear a floor-length black gown or a semi-casual black dress, over which you drape a chic scarf. Wear black pumps or strappy black stilettos. Set your hair in a classy updo; wear small diamond earrings and a silver bracelet.
– Go androgynous. The androgynous look keeps coming back every year, normally in spring. If you’re planning to get a makeover, do so before the party fever hits the office. Get a chic bob or go really short and stern on your hair, slicking it back for your party. Wear a fitted black suit with a crisp white shirt. Wear black leather brogues or boots and keep your accessories limited to a ring or a watch. Add a fun twist to the look by wearing a Santa hat.
– Shiny disco girl. A party demands that you dress up in style, so get a slinky silver or gold dress that skims your thigh or stops about three inches above the knee. Team this gorgeous dress with strappy heeled black shoes, and a black stone bracelet or chunky ring. Wear diamonds in your ears.
– A white dress. Since it’s a Christmas party, wear the season’s colours – a pretty white dress and gorgeous red heels. Accessorize your dress with a red clutch and red earrings. Keep your makeup minimal – a red lip stain should suffice.
– Trousers and shirt. If you don’t want to wear a dress to the party, wear fitted black trousers or straight fit black trousers with a white silk shirt or a peplum shirt. Pair this outfit with black heeled shoes. A silver bracelet and diamond earrings will complete your look. Give this look a ‘secretary’ twist with a pair of black-rimmed glasses.
