Dress your little one in some seriously cute dresses and revel in the attention she gets.

Your little bundle of joy has been chosen to be the flower girl at a wedding, and she will be the first person to walk down the aisle on the special day. Naturally, she will be the first person everybody sets their eyes on as well. As cute as she is, you will need to get her a dress that will suit the occasion and make her cute looks truly stand out.

Try some of these styles:

The floral dress. She’s going to be a flower girl, so it naturally follows that her dress should have a floral print. Pick a lilac or lavender pattern on a white background or the classic bluebell over white. Don’t opt for another colour – white will keep your child cool if it’s a hot day and she will be happier in a white cotton dress. Get a white bow for her hair and she will be as pretty as a picture.

Infant Flower Girl Dresses

Coloured with 3D. Flower girls’ dresses come in many styles and colours, but the prettiest one is a baby blue colour with a flower mesh on the bodice. The flowers are 3D stick-on ones; make sure none of them come loose because your daughter is bound to fiddle with them. Get a matching sun hat to go with the dress, and a pair of white slippers.

– Off shoulder. Most mothers are wary of letting their daughters wear off shoulder dresses, but they can surely make an exception for a very little girl. The best thing is that your daughter is at an adorable age where she can rock adult styles too – she will look great even if you put her in a black leather skirt (not that you should!) Get her an off-shoulder dress with a comfortable elastic bodice that does not cut into her skin. Since the bodice is tight, the skirt should be fluffy and end just below her knees. A cute pair of heels will complete her look.

Floaty dream. Your little darling will be the cynosure of all eyes when she walks down the aisle in a floaty blue or lavender number. The dress should have cotton lining so that it does not irritate her. The upper layer of fabric on the skirt will be light chiffon. Make sure your child is not irritated by the fabric and that the dress is light.

Ruffled wonder. A flower girl’s dress looks great with dreamy ruffles on it. Pick a dress in a darker colour such as indigo or burgundy, and make sure the ruffles sit lightly on the dress without adding weight. Ideally, there should be a large flower in the same material pinned to the shoulder. If there isn’t, pin three roses on her shoulder and arrange her hair in an updo. Pin a matching flower in her hair and watch her make a grand entrance.
